Please take a minute to check out all the awesome tester photos. We had a bought of sickness and then crappy cold weather that made getting outside for decent photos impossible so forgive the photo quality. We tried.
The Girls sleeveless was the version I was assigned to test.
Fabric is from the Doodles line at JoAnns (ages ago).

This is an intermediate level pattern but it comes together quickly and is a lot of fun to sew!  It's rated at an intermediate level because of the super clean seam finishes. This top is as pretty inside as it is outside which is something the Bug really appreciates with her aversion to itchy seams. She says this top is super soft and comfy to wear.

The sleek, stand up collar looks really modern and the v-neck is a lot of fun.  This top is super versatile. The pattern comes with several sleeve options (sleeveless, short sleeved and long sleeved) and it has an optional skirted top as well as two dress options.
It also has a broad size range, from 2 to 14 years, which you know I love.
I made a second version of the Girls Legend top (and a third, yet to be photographed) because the Bug loved the first one and it's such a fun versatile pattern.  This option has a more sporty look to it because of the fabric choice (I have no idea where this one came from).  The Bug loves to look "sporty" even though she wouldn't be caught dead playing team sports. (Darn anxiety)

I love that this top looks as good on the littles as it does on the bigger girls. Now that the Bug is officially a tween (ACK!) it is more challenging to find things to sew that she will like. This top fits the bill perfectly. She feels very grown up in it and I think she looks grown up while still looking appropriate for her age.
I also tested the Ladies version of the Legends top. I was hesitant because I've only recently started sewing for myself and this top is a bit more fitted than anything I've made to date.

I love Terri's patterns though. Her Uptown Downtown Dress is one I've made over and over and always get compliments on.

I love the unique neckline and stand up collar of the Legend so I threw my hat in the ring to test.  In the end, I'm glad I did.

I'm so super awkward in photographs. My poor husband and daughter.

The top, despite the weird modeling, is a winner. It's super comfortable and it's dressy enough to wear to work.  You'll see a bit of pulling under the arms in my photos. The pattern has been tweeked in the final version to eliminate some of that.  The fabric is a nice thick ponte that I got at Fabric Mart online. I really like Fabric Mart for their more "grown up" knits. Our JoAnn's is super lame in that department.

This pattern is highly recommended.
